  • Hi StefanB2112, the strings on a lap steel guitar usually do have wider spacing than on a standard electric, but you can still play with standard string spacing. If you are using a standard electric guitar, try getting a nut raiser to fit over the nut and that will have better string spacing. Best wishes,

    Michael

  • are the strings on a lap steel have the same spacing as a standard electric guitar ?

  • Hi Alain, the tuning is open G (low bass) DGDGBD
