Transformer "Scrapper" by R. Brian Wilson

Constructicon animatic. This was my original concept for Scrapper for an animation short. I'm in the process of completely redoing the model because I need to use a larger type of frontloader if its to fit into Devestator eventually.

This was entirely done in Maya.

Oh here's some critisism:

1: Don't have 100% raytrace/reflection on your metal, it doesn't look real.

2: Get some dirt on that thing.

3: Bump map it.

4: Try an occ am test on it, I think you need some better glossy "car paint" on it.

5: Don't use spotlights. Just don't. Omni all the way, unless you know how to do daylightsystems.

6: Add some MAYA standard glass material planes over the window spot.

7: Optional. Sound.

Wow, some real criticism. :-) I couldn't agree more with all of your critiques. This was done my 2nd year at animation school (about 4 years back now) It was done in about 2 weeks as a school project.

The original intent was eventually to do all of Devastator, and while I may get to it someday, I doubt I ever will. Again, thanks for the critique.
