  • but I thought your supposed to thrust your hips forward for power?

  • Don't slide...Turn. This is great advice. By turning/firing your lower body to initiate the downswing your weight will automatically be transferred to the front foot at impact. It's a much simpler move, just make sure there's no tension in the arms. Sliding creates to many problems like blocking it out the right or over rotating the arms and hooking.

  • You need to first move your weight to the left side before you even think about turn or you'll be OTT.Also if you don't move back much you have to move forward less I.E. S&T.

What store do you get those nice sticks at?

  • Will this help a slice

  • couldn't be more incorrect.

  • @jdogjr9509 The word "Thrust" puts to the wrong kind of visual action into the swing. You want to "rotate" your hips over a stable and posted left leg. Thrusting forward to will cause a slide and is like moving the ball back in your stance. Rotating the hips helps you stay behind the ball and stay stable past impact. Watch the vid again and you will see him rotate rather then slide. Best of luck JD.
