Here are 2 CB Bandits just under the 10 meter band. Check our the wave form on the spectrum scope, look how wide, spikey, distorted, and dirty his signal is. I have never seen such an ugly distorted signal.
@bevisponcho ease up big fella. My comment wasn't about the video itself but rather a comment that was on here which no longer exists . this is why you will see the @speedpussycat at the start of my comment.
I am a ham radio operator here in VK and understand the purpose of the clip completely. So please refrain from your 'you have no idea' comments until you have a complete grasp of the situation yourself.
It isnt about being better than you. It is about knowing more than you about band operation and frequency allocations, FCC rules, propagation etc.. Why do you think that cb'ers have one band and we have many? We have taken the time to learn these things. By your logic, why shouldn't a licensed 4 wheeler , be able to drive an 18 wheeler without a trucker's license?
. There is no problem with the 40 cb channels... This is about the 40 + 10 meter operation that encroaches on ham radio bands that are protected internationally..
Pilot truck stops, just settled for a 70,000 FCC fine for selling these radios.. Truckers and Companies are being fined on a daily basis. Truckers are being fired for using them..
The illegal operation is not only a frequency violation, but also a mode violation.. SSB is tearing up the morse code or CW portion of this band.
Truckers have learned nothing about radio communications, following FCC rules or anything else.. Stay off our frequencies we are watching and reporting.
If it weren't for licensed HAMS ..YOU would not have your CB bands to operate on. Go check out the history. We made the sacrifices and the ARRL lobbied the government to allow access to the frequencies YOU cb'ers have a free ride with today. So don't tell me about any rights you freebanders think you have to the frequencies. You over modulate, your audio sounds like garbage and the only thing I hear you say are 4 letter words. So consider the mentality here.
Earn the right to be operate on the bands by passing the license test. You Have to get a drivers license to drive on t he highway. You want your doctor to have a license to operate on you...Many other examples as to why tests & licenses are needed for your protection. If you are not good enough or just too stupid to pass the test then stay off the bands. They are here for those of us who can make the grade.
My apologies for the misdirected comment via @speedpussycat from Denmonkey...
