William Lipscomb, the 1976 Nobel laureate in chemistry, is a Kentucky colonel. He is famous for wearing string ties. Here he demonstrates how to tie a string tie. This video was made shortly before Professor Lipscomb's 90th birthday.

It looks like the same as tying a bow tie, one with the strings. both methods look the exact same as the way other people would tie their shoelaces that I never learned.

I think i got it out now.
I just wish he made it a little slower like a tutorial or something. But hell at least there is a video where someone finally makes this kind of string. Thank you :)
