@SystemFailureYT By utilizing other forms of fish farming, such as aquaponics, it would be possible to break down the fish waste into useful nutrients instead of just dumping it into the ocean, spreading disease. We need to stop thinking of these debates in such a black and white "I'm right and you're wrong" frame of mind, and work TOGETHER toward a mutually beneficial solution.
Although this video brings up some very good points, there is much left unsaid. For instance, the over-cultivation of wild salmon is a factor in the declining wild salmon stocks. I try to look at stories from both sides of the perspective, and think of viable solutions that would appease both sides of a debate. In this case, would it not be a better idea to move fish farms inland, where the waste will not be dumped into the ocean, and where sea lice cannot infect wild stocks?
