yes they give you drugs duliad morphine
i had one mine hurt i was up 4 2 days so after the drugs i fell alslep after they puncherd my liver i lost my breath like i got the wid knocked out of me

Actually, they only did a local anesthetic injection just before they did the biopsy. No other pain medicine was needed afterwards. I just had to lay on my side for about an hour afterward to make sure that I that there was no bleeding and then I was released.
