Lafayette Lanes closed after 7/21/11, and we got a chance to bowl before it was shut down completely. It was one of the best bowling centers I've bowled at, even though I've only been there twice. I loved it because it was challenging, and very basic. No modern scoring systems, no foul sensors, over-lane ball returns, but all 8 lanes had Bowl-Mor Model E pinsetters!

  • Well Eric, now that Lafayette Lanes has now closed down for good, that means that Leo's Super Bowl (off of Route 110) is the only bowling alley that Amesbury, MA has left.

  • what a shame its closing
