how much did it cost to buy the paddles, and how hard was the installation

@AMD6996 I think the paddles were between $100-$150 for the pair. I used my stock steering wheel. Just take out the airbag and stock buttons. you do have to cut away a bit of the plastic with a xacto-blade and do some fitting, but it is not hard at all. You don't really see the back of the steering wheel anyway, so it doesn't have to be perfect.

@mercedesbs - yes, i purchased the paddle shifters from the dealership and retrofitted them into my stock steering wheel which originally came with buttons.

S/C whine is a lot louder than my E55 - do you have the pulley swapped?
