*Skip forward to the date*

Greg was waiting in Addisons living room with Nick and Jen. Addison came down the stairs wearing a beautiful knee length green dress, with a sweetheart neck line. She was breathtaking.

Greg: You look very beautiful. (Nick couldnt help but feel a tinge of jealousy run through him)
Jen: I love that dress! You look so adorable. Doesnt she look beautiful Nick?

Addison hated the fact that Jen was nice and even more that she was hanging all over Nick.

Nick: yeah, you look beautiful Addie, absolutely beautiful. (Nick darted his eyes away)
Jen: Well, lets go party!
Greg: we are taking you girls to a party tonight and it is supposed to be awesome.

Nick and Addison nodded their heads in agreement and they headed to the party. When they got there, they went inside and started to dance. After a while Addison got tired, so she went to sit down in one of the back rooms of the house. She lay down on the bed. Nick got worried when he couldnt find her, he went looking for her. She heard someone come in the door, and saw Nick.

Nick: Hey, I was worried...I didnt know where you were.
Addison: Nick, you scared me. Well, come sit down.

Nick lay down beside Addison and they both were quiet for a while. It was a really weird silence, so Addison decided to break it.

Addison: Jen seems great.
Nick: So does Greg.
Addison: Nick.I...(she wanted to tell him how she felt, but she chickened out)
Nick: what Addie?
Addison: I am really happy for you, you finally found a girl that you really like.
Nick: yeah.
Addison: (jokingly) I guess we should end our engagement before Greg and Jen find out. They probably wouldnt want to date engaged people.
Nick: (smiling and laughing) NEVER!
Addison: (smiling and laughing too) Together forever! But I think that if they find out that they will be mad.

Over the next month, Nick has become Jens boyfriend and Addison is Gregs girlfriend. Every time that Nick sees Addison with Greg, he gets sick, and vice versa. But they both think that the other is happy, and they cant bear to take that happiness away from one another. But it still cuts like a knife, a very sharp knife.

Jen: Nicky (Nick hated it when he called him that-that was Addisons nickname for him), I think that we should go to the mall later.
Nick: Sure.
Greg: Addison, why dont we go out tonight? We'll have a romantic date
Addison: actually I need to go to the mall too (she lied because she didnt want to let Jen and Nick go alone), I need to get some...some things.
Greg: Whatever you want babe. (Addison forced a smile and excused herself to go get ready to go to the mall)

Addisons thoughts: why doesnt he want to go out with me? Why is he going out with Jen, she is so superficial and uhhh...I hate her! But she makes Nick happy, and I guess that is enough.

Nicks thoughts: she is so perfect, I should have asked her out when I had a chance. But she is happy with Greg, and I cant come between that, can I?

Regular POV:
About thirty minutes later they all headed to the mall and went into Forever 21, so the girls could shop around a little. Jen tried on, and bought, a lot of clothes. Addison bought a dress and a necklace. By this time they were very hungry so they headed to the food court.

Greg: What do you want Addie?
Nick and Addison (say it at the same time): Cheeseburger, no mustard, extra ketchup, and extra chrispy onion rings.
Addison: How did you know? (She smiled, loving the fact that Nick knew her so well)
Nick: I know a lot about you, and the fact that you always get the same thing.
Greg: One cheeseburger coming up! I'll be right back.
Jen: I'll go get our food Nicky. Do you want a cheeseburger too? (Nick nodded in agreement)

Jen and Greg leave and left Nick and Addison sitting alone at the table.

Addison: I want to have a Nick and Addison day, we havent had one of those since Greg and Jen came into the picture.
Nick: that sounds wonderful, Ive missed it too. Why dont you come spend the night tonight and we can hang out with my brothers, the tomorrow we can spend all day together.
Addison: OMG!
