Acctually we can punch to the face in ITF TKD and we also don't wear a head guard or chest guard. Just gloves, foot guards, shin guards and a mouth guard.

  • Name of music please?

  • im proud to become one of the billion black belts of taekwondo... taekwondo is giving me the power to defend myself.

  • Learn complete TKD. Learn fast and hard WTF kicking. It will train you to kick as fast or faster than the fastest punch, but it will pack way more damage. Learn how to box and block like in ITF TKD, and all you have to do is learn HapKiDo judo/aikido to be MMA. Then spend 24 hours a day kicking banana trees, forget about unemployment benefits and you'll be Ong Bak. For normal civilized people with careers, you can spend a few hours each week to be a killer.

  • @superbluepurple2 The TKD that u mention where u cant do those things is in competition. Practical TKD u can do those things. Obviously we had head gear & pads & gloves but we punched to the face, threw, sweep, elbow & knee, check kicks, grab kicks if we could (this was critical) so we could learn not to be caught, we even grappled & learned jiu jitsu. We also trained with tight Jeans sometimes to make it harder to kick. Traditional TKD is fun but practical TKD is much more effective & realistic

  • @superbluepurple2 A bigger person doesnt always hit harder than a small person. Take Mike Tyson for example, he was 1 of the smallests heavy weights & he had probably the hardest punch ever...much more than fighters bigger than him. Size doesnt mean anything...it has advantages & disadvantages. Bruce Lee was known for his speed & power, he was tiny. His 1 inch punch had more power than a lot of peoples full punch. In my opinion practical TKD is very effective & can be a good base for muay thai.

  • @superbluepurple2 My only point is that TKD kicks used correctly can end a fight without putting the person in harms way. They are very strong. Also practical (not traditional) TKD is very effective. There are a lot of kickboxing & muay thai champs who have a backround in TKD. Also Anderson Silva has a blackbelt in TKD & look at him hes undefeated in the ufc. Practical TKD is similar to muay thai & kickboxing only less emphasis on conditioning & more focus on kicks. Practical TKD is a good base

  • @realityIZanILLUSION As for human weapon the tkd guy won under tkd rules, not kickboxing or mma. In tkd you can't punch to the face, you can't clinch, you can't knee or elbow, you can't check or catch kicks, you can't sweep or through, and punches to the body become useless, because the judges don't count them for points and there's to much body protection do do any real harm to the opponent with a punch. So, big deal that the tkd guy won.

  • @realityIZanILLUSION I'm aware of that, but he doesn't train tkd anymore. The thing that I hated about fight science was that it enforced stereotypes and failed to realise that a bigger person can hit harder then a small person, aren't scientists smart?
