Nice classic Mack. Hope you hold on to it for a long time. Q sounds great though the brake on it seems worn. With the brake applied it actually sounds like the winddown of most of today's Q's (LOL). That truck is a TREASURE.

by me? used. I'm the first private owner of it since it permanently retired in 2007.
It was first bought by the North Haledon (NJ) FD in 1964. It served as a front line piece for them for 20 years then went to an auction house where it was bought by my current department, North Dade (GA) Fire Rescue. It served another 20 years here, incliding time we leased it to a rural community nearby. They returned it in 2007 and I purchased it as NDFR didn't have room to keep it.

this is the original Mack Thermodyne 6cyl gas engine with a 5 speed manual.
