This is a video of my "rotozoomer" running on from left to right:
Nokia 770, FIC Neo1973, FIC Neo
This is also the chronologically order of the devices.
The output resolution is 800x480, 480x640, 480x640.
The slowdown over time must be caused by Moore's law... we all know that complex things are slower right?
On a side note the follow up Nokia 800 was also slower than the 770.

  • And not a real show stopper...

Unless one wants to watch videos or play games on the device (which would a nice option, but not essential (for me))

General responsiveness is more important, unfortunately not a department where it scores as high as I hoped.

    (As is the phone functionality)

  • Sad, but not embarassing. It's due to the choice of chips. The OMAP video subsystem runs circles around the Samsung framebuffer interface and we do not need to talk about the Glamo *cough*

  • embarassing :(
