Pitcher Hit In Face

A pitcher is hit in the face with a line drive from the batter during a Legion baseball game Natick vs. Weston. Pitcher suffered multiple facial fractures, broken jaw, and a broken rib. Sorry about the lag between the video and audio.
-To clear things up, the reason for the broken rib is unknown; The doctor called the next day to report the first rib on the right side broken.

i had my 1st time pitch and im just lucky the ball that came straight back at me i was quick enough to put a part of my bare hand in front of my face for the ball to hit my hand ill admit my pitch wasnt a fast ball but this guy is loads better then me at pitching or prolly at the game but his just unlucky no chance to catch that or anything i feel for the guy even though that was 3 years ag now

@HELLSACOOLTODD wood bat makes for a better game and the ball comes off slower and doesnt go as far as a metal bat would. you can be the worst player and hit a ball far with a metal bat but with wood the good hitters will be quickly sorted out from the bad ones
