  • What do you do to stop a short when the polarity switches as the turntable turns

  • @handscombmp There is a split ring under the turntable with a couple of wipers wihich automatically reverses the polarity on a 360 degree turn

  • @jchurc you know because the polarty change due to the wipers underneath is there anyway to make it so that my dcc sound will stay on and not cut off and restart when it hits the deadspot on the polarity change then back i meen if i added a switch and made it constant power suply then when im gona go the the oppostie polarity track flik the swich si it changes polarty but the dcc sound will still cut off and restart any help please

  • @pyronathanpyro I Must admit I have not given it a lot of thought as all my locomotives are steamers and to get over the problem I just turn the sound off as it enters the turntable bridge and turn it back on just before it leaves. I also have ambient sounds like seagulls which mask the transition. I believe some people use a polarity reverser like Lenz supply for reversing loops LK101 I think, what effect that has on the sound I am not sure..............John

  • is this N gauge or HO/OO gauge

  • @jchurc right okay tah well i do use the gaugemaster prodigy advance 2 dcc system so id have to check is the lenz is compatible i rekon it is because you can conect most loconet componetnts together i.e. digitrax block detection or signaling can be used with lenz digitrax ir gaugemaster but thx and nice loco and dcc coupling

  • i really like the way you set out your layout.cool train!!!

  • love these dcc vids great innovation !

  • You can buy dcc turntables, Fleischmann among others do them, the problem I had was that none of them remotely resembled the british prototype. Thats why I had to scratch build to get anything that looked vaguely like what I wanted. They are not cheap to buy, when i looked they were around 200 GBP[

    Best Regards

    John
