This is rapidly becoming a favourite of mine, though I still need to iron out some wrinkles. It is a Welsh folk piece, from an arrangement by Meinir Heulyn. The translation of the title is 'My Dolly' apparently. This was filmed two days after I had the staples removed from my arms, and considering I had not played for a month prior to that I am quite pleased with it.

  • This is a gorgeous piece and well played -- great job!

How many years have you been playing?

  • @makerandthebreaker When I posted this I had been playing for about 2 years maybe.

  • this is great! I just started harp lessons (have had 6,5 hours of lessons so far) and I too have the same book by Meinir Heulyn!

I have a 16 month old in the house, so I don't get to play as often as I want. 1 time a week if i'm lucky. 2 or 3 if i'm VERY lucky.

Oh it's soooo nice to see a 'normal' person play harp on youtube!! There are some stunning performers here, I can only dream of their talent *sigh* but seeing you play... makes me think: I can do this! And that's meant as a compliment!

  • @briska82 yeah, I'm always in awe of the amazing harpists out there. You want to check out my tutor on her channel - GlendaClwyd. I haven't seen anyone come close to her skill on a harp.

  • could you tell who is the maker of this harp?

  • It is a Venus Penti Grand Concert, an American harp.
