The mobile DJ explained to me how his equipment was set up to simulate the playing of real vinyl. In reality, his Technics turntables were connected to his Macbook and he used digitally encoded vinyl discs that imitated the playing of real vinyl. Nice trick! I didn't get his name but the fellow was a former UNBC grad and he was kind enough to show this to me.

  • 0:28-0:36 he kinda explained all of that backwards. The code on the record sends a signal to the computer on how to manipulate the track.

    The computer doesnt send a signal to the record....
