  • It is designed to give you hand seed for the head punch, it is faster than any oponent and develops reaction speed. And it is a great carddio workout whne you push the pace,

  • the ugliest punches ever

  • Nice idea. How did you make it or where did you get it? I would give it a try.

To all your bloke saying nobody ist attacking with your head. What are you doing with pad work? In Thailand good pad work replaces sparring

  • Thought it looked a bit daft at first, but it does look good for defence, speed and co-ordination. Like people have said though, watch out for bad habits creeping in with the striking.

  • not a bad drill.. might give you some bad habits though.. noticed his punches were a bit wild.. not protecting himself after throwing the left..and when throwing the right, technique looks off.. like the idea of this drill though.. keep trainaing guys!

  • I don't get your negative comments...

It as a least a whole lot more interactive and "realistic" then a punching bag, dummy or whatever "dead" object...and these have been around forever...

This is pure reaction training with punches on the head to train defense to offence mode shift.

As if if these guys see the red thing as an opponent's head (!)...Are you kidding me?

  • this looks like more of a screw around drill than anything...if you're practicing blocking and countering with a stick you're gonna be unfamiliar with an opponent..sparring is never going to be replaced as the number one teaching tool for developing the tools needed to fight...plus this drill is not inspiring and original...it's in a bunch of old kung fu/karate movies..for example:KICKBOXER(van dam)the big brawl(jackie chan)..not impressive

  • try it with a knife at the end..or better yet a grenade

  • striking the attacking limb is the most efficient way to enter an opponents guard. A well placed strike to the wrist, forearm, elbow, bicep, or tricep is both unpleasant and distracting, useful for setting up a multi hit combo. further, contact with the striking limb ensures both knowledge of the location of the weapon as well as the head, as the arm always leads back up to the chin/throat.

  • i agree with dddmoney, it wouldnt help much in fighting because noone is going to try to punch you with there head. i guess it would be alright for building defense but you would learn alot more with just a sparring partner playing the attacker and you focus on defense.

  • Inspiring and original.
