He signed one of the articles that was about a race war and I think it was a special edition. He also defended the comment about blacks being fleet of foot. Ron Paul was not civil rights advocate he said straight out he would not have voted for the civil rights bill.

@TheCali Paul denounced it a long time ago. Its was 9 articles out of 200+, Powell wrote them during the same time Paul went back to full time OBGYN. Compare it to the words Paul wrote in the rest of the newsletter and it does not follow. It was a big fucking mistake but this doesn't make the man a racist, he admitted that he dropped the ball; however, in legislation and straight from his mouth hes been an active civil rights advocate. This is a smear campaign rehashed x3.

Al Sharpton isnt running for president. What he did in his life is horrible but he isnt running for office. The people running for office in the republican field have a massive race problem. Ron Paul wrote or at the very least agrees with what was put in those articles. Santorum and Gingrich believe that blacks are free loaders. Huntsman and Romney both believe in a religion that one of its fundamental views is that blacks are inferior.

@venusbrain they don't. I'm from California. We pay more in taxes than we get back. Texas pays less than they get back. We in the Blue States are supporting the right-wing hypocrites in Texas and other red states - and we support Paul, the right-wing hypocrite (despite the fact that he's snowed lots of people, apparently you included).

@Zakdayak That's why he voted against those bills. The idea is that if everyone else is going to take taxpayers' money for themselves, he's going to grab what he can to give back to his taxpayers. All of Ron Paul's earmarks are for programs in the public interest. What he shuns the most is taking tax dollars to give to for-profit industries like drug enforcement, pharmaceutical, oil, etc. and earmarking for the public interest is his way of keeping money away from those.
