The story behind this video is that one afternoon, while Germany and Italy are out in the park, Germany asks Italy why it is that he is also hugging him and smiling at him so happily. After a moment of thought, Italy responds telling Germany that he reminds him of his first love, the Holy Roman Empire. That night, when the two of them return home, Italy begins thinking about the relationship he has with Germany now and ends up remembering his past love. It saddens him to think he may have missed out on his relationship with HRE, but remembers that it is always Germany, his best friend, that always helps him through the sadness and pain that lingers from his lost love.
Meanwhile, as Germany reflects on Italy's words from their walk, he begins to think back to his memories of being with Italy and the bond that they share. Among that, he begins to remember things he had long since forgotten. He begins to remember a little girl whom he used to dedicate himself to protecting and making happy at all costs. However, while remembering this, he also realizes that he acts the same way with Italy and realizes that the girl he used to love before he lost his memory of being HRE is really Italy and that the love he once felt still remains...
