Futurism - Muse (bass cover)

This is my first cover of a song, by myself. I've only been playing bass for a year, whereas I've been playing guitar for 6 so I should have done a guitar cover of something, but I get all paranoid when I'm playing solo and I end up messing everything up. In a band I'm cool with it, but I can only play bass solo and not screw up.

Firstly, I'm sorry about the poor sound quality. I know you can hardly hear the song, the file was corrupted on my iPod so I couldn't play it out loud from my iPod dock, the sound on my laptop is broken and I don't have a CD with this song on it, so I had to wire an old PDA up to my electro acoustic amp so you can hardly hear the song, gutted much?

I learnt this song on bass last Thursday, I think, but with all the studying I've not played it much. But it's a great song, and it should definitely be bigger than it is.

Depending on the response to this video, I'll probably upload more in the future. Maybe.

Also, I decided that instead of wearing my contacts, I'd wear my Sexy-with-a-capital-S glasses, and play barefoot. I've always found I can playing instruments better when I lack clothes from the ankle downwards. Drums especially.

Suggestions for new songs to cover would be helpful. I'm thinking about Fury or Hysteria (both by Muse) or Dancing in the Moonlight (Thin Lizzy). You can't beat Phil Lynott when it comes to bass. Or Chris Wolstenjrkaehdkjsa. I know how to spell his name. I know there's an H in there somewhere.

I don't know if you noticed how bored I was getting at the end. I think the thought that I wouldn't be able to experience the hand-spasm that I do during the verse upset me greatly. And all I was stuck with was 4 notes that I had to make interesting. Which failed. Greatly.
