Pippin my Collie does this too I thought it was her at first lol, its not boredom as she does it at the beach park or anywhere she has plenty of exercise so dont worry its a collie thing ..... I love it, it wouldnt be my collie if she didnt do it xx

Dogs chase shadows because you don't give them enough exercise!!!!
Especially Border collies need loads and loads of exercise!!!
And a 1 hr walk won't help!
You have to teach them tricks, mentaly chalenge them with different things, do dog sports like agility, flyball, herding at least once a week!
It is not your dogs fault he is going mental, it is yours!!!!

what do you do with your lawn after he tears it up. My dog is doing the same thing, but I had to move home with my parents and they wantg me to put the dog to sleep cause he's ruining their lawn.

my dog does the exact same thing and hes a boreder collie too. and he goes for reflections of shiny things like cds or phones on the ceiling but he obviously cant get them

@Doglova150 you should try putting a torch on the ground for your dog - he'll go nuts! Sue (dog in vid) has destroyed so many torches from playing with them because of the light coming from it - as i said Nuts
