Chris Matthews argues that Sarah Palin's "fascinating" interview to Charles Gibson set pre-emptive war to a "higher standard" and that she is "less hawkish" than President Bush.

  • Chris Matthews is getting old...and stupid if he thinks that Palin have good answers during the Gibson interview.

  • What the hell is 'preventative'? Is it like preventive?

  • He said her answer was better than Bushs policy. Yes, the retard runs faster than the one-legged guy. Its almost like comparing morning breath to shit Ever kissed a bung?

  • Actually, she did right to answer her way and not be coerced into just a one word answer.

Charlie Gibson isn't her boss. She can answer however she wants to. She is an incredibly strong person, so that's what she did.

  • Except that she lost. Hands down. When an interviewer asks a question, even if they're trying to trap you (which I don't think he was, he's just giving an excellent interview) and you do not answer the question, you lose. She stuttered, she said the same thing over and over when he kept asking for a simple yes or no.

If she won why did he look 100 times more calm and collected than she did? I'd even say HE didn't blink in this interview even though she tried to evade every question.

  • Give the trophy to Matthews, the Bush doctorine is preventative war not preemptive war. Gibson ran with a false understanding and passed it onto Palin, way to go.

  • No, that's not what she said, why not let the words she used be "what she said" as opposed to you trying to speak for her. She didn't use the word wisdom, so why would you insert that. She sounded like a jack ass, and she's not very good, point blank. Is "being right" worth having someone that jeopardizes our kids, nation, and familes in office? Seriously this is who you would want in our highest office? If so thats sad man.

  • Is scares me that some of you would watch her, hear her policies, and make a decision that this is who you would want leading our country...all of you whining about Charlie being hard on her, go watch Obama on O'Rielly and then try to tell me that she "handled this well" or that "Charlie was hard on her". She's unintelligent, juvinille in some instances, and would be the worst mistake this country EVER made. If you can't see that, you shouldn't be permitted to vote.

  • She doesn't have to jump through the exact hoops that people like Charlie Gibson put forth.

She gave good answers to everything. Her answer to the God question was world class, basically that what she wants is for people to pray for wisdom, a basic Christian precept.

She was calm, cool, and collected in the face of a hardcore assault on her by Gibson.

To use her own words, she "didn't blink" in this interview, even though he tried to trip her up.

It was a fight. She won hands down.

  • Does anyone think she meant to say, or understood the implications of what she said? It was either a case of her miss-speaking or that was the line she learned wrote.
