That's great! How old are you and when did you start playing? Son is 7 and they just gave him this song to learn this week. Any suggestions? You can check his drumming out by searching RyanT2020 on YouTube. He can play it for a little while, but gets tired. Your version is a joy to listen to!

@RyanT2020 At this point I was 15, I started playing at 10. anyone who plays this will tell you it's intense on the forearms, you've got to relax, don't grip the sticks too tight and just feel the groove, don't push too hard. apart from that it's practice, it is an intense song to play just because your arms are pretty much non-stop at quite a tempo. but if you stick at it, you'll get there. your son definitely hav talent and i hope he sticks at it.

I'm working on this song right now! I told myself if I learn it I'm gonna retire! I've only been playing for 2 months...I still feel like I'm rushing while I'm playing this song, trying to get comfortable.

@jaron87floyd then work your way up to this song, choose something slower first until you feel comfortable, then come back to Everlong, you'll enjoy it more that way
