Dont you know Ethiopia and Eritrea share some ethnic groups?

    Afar,Saho,Tigrinya-Tigray and KUNAMA.

All those ethnic groups above live in Ethiopia and Eritrea. Let us not get politics involved with the truth.

  • does anyone have a translation?

  • I had to look a couple of times to see this, but it appears that in at least three Kunama videos I have seen, the musicians have their right hands on the upper strings of the krar and are strumming with the left. Is this a matter of traditional technique or are there a lot of left-handed Kunama?

  • That is wonderful that you are part Kunama/Nara but that shows what to me? Your own President is part Ethiopian does that make him Ethiopian? No.

The Kunama/Nara are still called "Bariya" because the Habesha (Ethiopians) would enslave them and sell them to the Arabs and other buyers.

Did your grand parents fight just Ethiopian occupation or did they fight against the Italians as well, like my family?

  • Nara and Kunama are 2 different ethnic groups, 2 different names and 2 different languages. They are related, closely, like the Oromo and Somali - but still 2 different ethnic groups.

The first fighter for Eritrean independence was not a "nara" the person who first shot the gun in the air was Hamid Idris Awate, he was not Nara - and he was ELF/JEBBHA not shaebia.

That video of the Afar was amusing to watch. They are not Afar - they are all christians who speak Tigrinya from Eritrea.

  • you got anything to say now?

  • i sent you prrof!

many kunama and afar fought against ethiopia in all wars!

im part kunama/Nara and my grandpas family were tigadalys with Eritrea in indpendence war and border war
