Nice footage. George Harrison was always enthusiastic about learning the sitar and about spirituality.

Harrison embraced Indian music and instruments, and helped broaden the horizons of the other Beatles, as well as those of their Western audience!!!
Ravi Shankar is the best sitar teacher and legend!!

It was when George first started with the sitar in 1965 ("Norewian Wood" from Rubber Soul) that the history of music changed forever!!!

So Ravi Shankar had a show in Ann Arbor, MI (I go to college here), and I didn't know about it until the night of the show! What a horrible thing to miss!

I can't think of any other teacher and any other location if I wanted to learn something this peaceful and shooting. With the mountains and the river. It would have been such a great location to learn something like this
