  • Kubrick was one of his kind, a true master of his art. I'm happy he turned his back on Hollywood.

  • This is how you interpret a masterpiece in existence, and enrich it.

  • This is also used in the film 'Redacted', in which it also works very well - the war in Iraq, pretty military stuff. :P

  • beautiful epic!

  • You guys know that Kubrick didn't only use this song as soundtrack, but he also took inspiration for the movie from it. The pace, the mood, and built the movie on it.

  • Came from a coke comercial

  • I would rather watch this than "the Social Network". Don't get me wrong though; I know they are movies that are different from each other but I can't help it! I just can't help it! After I saw Barry Lyndon, it got me hooked on classical music. I even blasted classical on New Year's, thanks to this movie. And I would love to watch this movie again <3

  • Kubrick's most ignored masterpiece. I remember seeing it in the theater when it first came out and some people thought it was too slow. Dumb clucks. They didn't realize Kubrick was after not only the look of 18tjh century life but its pace, as well. To have good films you need good audiences...which is why we have so much crap today. Audiences are getting dumber and dumber. Thanks, fanboys, for destroying the greatest art form ever conceived.

  • This movie is so touching, it's beautiful. Really one of the only period piece films that made me realize royal, rich people have emotions, feelings, and are not just stuck up.

  • One of the three best films ever made. The others are 2001 and Blade Runner. Who the fuck can choose from those three? 2001 may be the most unusual and ground-breaking, true, but the other two...my goodness. Film as art

  • @IsraelGTV Yes Sir, I think so.
