You really need to take a step back and listen to yourself.

Of course he was a tyrannical dictator. Of course he murdered thousands of his own people. Yet, that doesn't necessarily warrant invading Iraq against international law. Bush did not invade Iraq on a premise of regime change. He invaded Iraq to find a and destroy WMD's.

Again with this memo crap.
You still have *not* address the fact that saddam as responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians who opposed him or didnt but seemed like they were a threat to his regime. What part of tyrannical dictator do you not understand? And he didnt only kill his own people with chemical weapons. He killed far more with his 'secret police'

Below is part of the text from the memo. The fact that the Executive Branch were itching for a fight with Iraq is incontrovertible. They were looking for any sort of basis of legality and couldn't find one. So they made up that basis for legality. I am not suggesting that they went in for any sort of desire for oil. That whole oil theory is crap. I believe they genuinely wanted regime change in Iraq. Yet, they lied to the people because they didn't think we would support them. Lieing is wrong.

The Foreign Secretary said he would discuss this with Colin Powell this week. It seemed clear that Bush had made up his mind to take military action, even if the timing was not yet decided. But the case was thin. Saddam was not threatening his neighbours, and his WMD capability was less than that of Libya, North Korea or Iran. We should work up a plan for an ultimatum to Saddam to allow back in the UN weapons inspectors. This would also help with the legal justification for the use of force.

If the missiles were in Syria you would think we would have found them by now. The central intelligence agency has more resources, men and money than any other intelligence agency plus, they can use all sorts of interrogation techniques other intelligence agencies cant. So you think they would have found those Syrian weapons by now.

You certainly are their kind. You will entertain the notion that America went into iraq on 'faulty evidence' but will disregard the possibility that in 5 months time the iraqis moved all WMDs while Bush was warning saddam. You do this based on supposed 'leaked memo' which I am quite certain that you have never laid eyes on. You entertain all these grand theories but disregard the posibility that there are leftist elements in the CIA and MI6 who want to make the administration look bad.

Please don't refer to me as "their kind" cause I really don't identify myself as a liberal.I really support Generals Petraeus and Odierno and what they are trying to do to fix Iraq. Fundamentally though, the downing street memo isn't just a daft piece of work. It is a highly detailed and specific memo. But decides that we can impeach him for sheer incompetence. He went to war on weak information putting the lives of American soldiers in danger without a clear measurable goal.
With that short hair she makes me want to look at baseball cards.

Everybody wants "stability" .....
The US wants a pro-American democracy that enriches Halliburton, Exxon, BP et al.
Iran wants an anti-US/Israel Shia dominated theocracy.
Iraq wants to settle scores from hundreds of years of Shia/Sunni hatred.
