Three different models of Stack-On safes and one AMSEC safe can be opened by a three year old. These safes demonstrate what we believe to be defective security-engineering by these companies. Note that the Stack-On QAS 1000 secondary lock was preset prior to the demonstration but this is a trivial procedure that takes a few seconds. The secondary locking system in our view is a security-defective design as well.

Not obvious faults? lifting the safe and dropping it. Proceed to open.

Wow, lots of denial in these posts. Even if don't have kids to worry about, it's obvious these safes don't offer much in the way of keeping thieves out, either. They don't need to be taught how to shake it or poke it with a paper clip to get into it. Certainly not one I'd trust to keep my guns even remotely secure.

I think this is showing the gun safe people, how easy their security can be broken. And not so much about kids breaking into safe's.

The point of the videos is that if a 3 year old can be taught to open these safes, any idiot with a screwdriver can do it.

This video didn't do any damn harm: it merely demonstrates how insanely unreliable the safes are.

My thoughts exactly!!!! Please, show more videos of how to open the safes that many people already have for everyone to see. Don't offer suggestions for a better safe. You could just say, we found this safe to be flawed, instead we suggest this one. No safe opening video. Or show a video of you trying unsuccessfully to open a safe we should buy. Get a clue. These videos do more harm than good. Case closed!

Hey douche. I know you're obsessed with showing off your safe-cracking skills on YouTube and everything but do you see the glaring potential for disaster here??? Showcasing these techniques on a public website where crooks, children and everyone can, see is likely to result in WAY more thefts and accidental gun deaths than whatever "shortcomings" you say these safes may have. Any safe can be cracked by a determined person...duh. How about not encouraging it on YouTube!

    1. Don't teach your children how to open your gun safes or give them the codes.

    2. If a gun safe truly doesn't lock and can just be opened without a key, or code, then it's really not a safe...

    3. I would certainly hope a 3 year old, or any child would be supervised in a room with a gun safe on the ground, and taught the dangers of guns and maybe not applauded, recorded and praised for opening a GUN safe.
