Llyn Peninsula - dolphins pictures from "Shearwater" Coastal Cruises - Pwllheli

A small sample of images taken from "Shearwater" a luxury charter cruiser based in Pwllheli, on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula of North Wales. "Shearwater" takes visitors to offshore seal and seabird colonies and is usually joined by the local dolphin population. I have eventually managed to get myself on a "shearwater" Coastal Cruise and I must say it was one of the best days of my life. Dolphins not only joined the boat to bow-ride but performed the most spectacular antics imaginable. We visited two large seal colonies, and the boat was obviously easily recognised by the residents as they didn't turn a hair. Fabulous coastal scenery. The best part - the free cup of tea and biscuits whilst watching puffins at 4 p.m.
