That sound is pure Rio Grande as those T-2's go by.

I been trying to catch that movement myself but I been coming up empty. Ofcourse my schedule limits me to when I can get out there and look for it. The W&LE has been pretty active around here the last few months, hopefully it will remain so throughout the Summer Months when there is more daylight to catch the movements

Huh, then i'll have to wing it

I'm almost certain thats an Ore Train heading to Baltimore. The Helpers were are cut in about 6000 tons into the train. The W&LE power is cut off in Connellsville and the 2 CSX Units take it East over Sand Patch . CSX adds a Rear End Helper at Connellsville which stays on until Sand Patch. Usually the W&LE power lays at Connellsvile until an empty train comes back west. That was a good catch because lately they have been running East early in the morning and coming back empty late at night

Nice Video Scott! What W&LE Line is this and where can i get there? Also, the units sound good and working hard.. The lash-up would've been better without the Dash 8 though..

This is the line that runs through Bethel Park and out towards the Mon river. I took this video along Cochran's Mill road, which is between Century 3 Mall and South Park. Go to google maps and search for Bruceton, PA. The search result will show exactly where I was.

Ah, thanks Scott. WHat time do trains normally run here as well?

As far as I can tell, there's no real schedule. Weekday mornings around 8-9am and evenings around5-7pm. It's pretty random, though.
