I think what so many people feel when they watch and listen to Susan's audition video, is after having watched the smirks and eye-rolling in the beginning, many of us identify with her, because she's a representation of the ordinary citizen, the underdog; and then when she begins singing, it's like one of our own is finally getting even and is throwing all the ridicule and put-downs back in their faces. It's like we're finally able to let out this huge sob that we've been surpressing for years.
