My version of this song, another classic track and this is played in the key of the record C#m, some slight reverb has been added to the audio on this video.

  • Local AM station in Detroit (WJR) used to play this back in 1980. I've always loved this song! Thanks to you, I learned to play it on guitar myself! Nice version...thanks for sharing it.

  • @jazzmasterification1 - great man,, im glad you found it useful :-)

  • Hey, good version. I tried this one, it's in y channel if you want to check it out, but I missed the fantastic sad chord that you picked out in the chorus (for example at 2:07) - makes all the difference. Well done & tks for sharing.

  • @0ldfinger Hey mate, many thx for the positive comments,, yeah i checked out your version,, is very calm and colourfull in the extentions, i liked it alot,, the chord im playing that you speak of i do belive is a D#7b5 if this helps :-)

  • I remember when this song came out in the early 80's. It has remained one of my favourites. I have searched all over the net for the guitar tab, but I have found it difficult to find the tab or chords as they were in the origional recording. Finally I have found out the origional key. I would like to know if guitar tab is available for this version. well done

  • Hey gsf67, thank you for your comments, yep i managed to find the chords for the original key C#m and i simply found the melody notes in or near to the chords as they are played, i personally rarely ever use tabs and dont know if there are any for this sorry.
