Me De Boxing An Original Minty Stretch Armstrong From 1976 till 1979 this version was produced by denys fisher in the UK He is still super soft as the day he was made Enjoy this 70s Iconic Toy From my own collection the figure is in mint condition still super soft clean and no rips or snags his box is strong and un damaged and his coffin( the parts to store him in) are all minty and he had his instructions very pleased to add to my collection .

The original Stretch Armstrong figure idea was conceived by a CPG employee named James O. Kuhn in 1974. Kenner did not actually receive a patent for the figure until 1979. From 1976 to 1979 Kenner made over 50 million dollars on all the stretch versions, and was the largest buyer of corn-syrup over those same years .There were 40,000 Stretch Armstrongs produced by Kenner in the U.S. between 1976 and 1979. Thats not really that many if you think about it especially since 99% of them were ripped apart and thrown and never made it past Christmas of 1976. That means out of the over 300 Million people in the U.S. roughly every 7,500 persons would have to share only one Stretch Armstrong figure! There have been only about 145 Stretch Armstrongs that have appeared in the last 8 years in varying conditions and only about 40 in clean to near mint condition. There are even fewer of the other versions like Stretch Batman or Plastic-man of which there are only 1 or 2 left in existence today. Thats gives you an idea of just how rare these stretches have become. Only a handful are left today, only a handful.Stretch Armstrong a numbers are still declining each day as their owners dig them out of the attics and basements after over 35 years only to bend them or stretch them to ruin while learning after just how much their stretch Armstrong figure was worth.

The Original Stretch Armstrong Figure is becoming more valuable by the year as the very few remaining figures are being scooped up by collectors all over the globe leaving only the last stragglers to be found in very limited quantity.A most awesome figure that is the Tarzan of the Stretch Kingdom World. This value for the Original Vintage Stretch Armstrong from 1976 is when the figure is mint with no blemishes to the skin,No Leaks anywhere,ie neck.Still somewhat soft (comparable to warm taffy)at room temperature.Head must be perfect with all paint present. And all paperwork. Instruction Book,Stretch mat, all band-aids and super rare plastic Baggy that holds band-aids,Neck Tag, Styrofoam coffin and Lid. Box with all sides and top flap in-tacked,not taped on. Value $1,800.00 to $2,500, A Stretch Armstrong in need of repairs may sell between $400.00 and $550.00
