It's different from the usual s1e1. In the broadcast version Crichton was more positive about his situation, at least until Rygel threatened him.

@clusterlizard1 I just remembered that Crichton's "ship recorder" in the first Furlow ep was recording on a cassette. Looked like a cassette player on a radio.

Actually this is unaired - the aired scene used the same script but was different in tone and style.

i thought it was half way through the recording that he tried to steal something...

isn't this a deleted scene not an unaired pilot. i really thought it was. and i wanted to see that episode.

actually he tried to steal somthing before the recording

the whole sceene is different. firstly, his tape recorder is different. more like your normal old casette player.

secondly, the drd was on the table when Crichton was recording his 'thing'.

lastly, Rygel wasn't in the background sleeping. he wasn't in the background at all.

Hmmm.. I don't really remember THAT. It's been years since I saw s1e1.
