I just felt like doing a simple cover of a song featured in the anime BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad. The song is called "Moon on the Water."

Please don't hang me for only strumming the chords; my decision to make this video was spurt of the moment, as I had just finished watching the anime and I suddenly got in the mood to sing. It's very likely that I will redo this by playing the proper guitar arpeggios.

What's funny about this is that I'm not a person who sings very often, because I typically play pure instrumental pieces on my guitar. But there's something about this song that I found very soothing and approachable. There's really a charm to the music's arrangement and I found the choppy Engrish quite endearing.

One thing you might also notice about this recording is that my voice cracks when I get to the chorus, because I'm trying hard not to wake up others with my guitar and singing at 2:00am in the morning!

  • you have a purty voice =w=

  • People are right it is too fast the singing is nice. And it's a comment you can type in what you want stop critisizing others becuase it's different from you. If no one points out your mistakes your never gonna stop doing them!

  • can you give the chords pls

  • its not my job but people get payed to do it, i just want to help him become a better musician and that wont happen unless he knows where to work.

  • still flaws or not is it your job to point it out?

  • doesn't take a genius to find a couple flaws, everyone has them. never said this was bad, just sum constructive criticism from a fellow musician

  • hey, nice job bro.... which chords did u use?:D:D give u 5

  • To each his own. It's a different but good change of pace for a beautiful song. Great job, man, like a reinterpretation of wonderful art.
