A wild kangaroo gives police and wildlife rescuers in Australia a run for their money.

The runaway kangaroo kept police and wildlife officers in a lengthy pursuit as it ran rampant on the streets of Melbourne.

Wildlife rescue officers and police then set up a trap to catch it but the Eastern Grey kangaroo dodged them once again.

This video shows ANIMAL CONTROL capturing a kangaroo without injuring it. Makes Aussies look pretty good. Where I live people and the police would have just used that animal for target practice! A young, migrating black bear was killed a year ago in just that way. People were very upset about it. I was very impressed by this video. Never fear that this is making anyone look "bad." To the contrary.

  • "What" makes who "look so bad?"

I thought it was a great video; showed the animal being safely captured without injury. If it wasn't for trained experts like the Animal Rescue people in the video, others would all be out with their guns blasting away!

What "stereotypes" are you referring to? Since I'm not from Australia, I must be missing something. More info, please...

  • Kangaroo was on drugs, trust me

  • I just love there silly accents! If i go there ill talk to anyone!

  • Yeah you should have probably looked a bit harder then shouldn't you.

  • It was probably her usual uniform. She doesn't really need to use camouflage to hide from the kangaroo.

  • Oh, I missed where it said "looks dumb." I thought it said, "Dumb Aussies chasing kangaroos around the city streets and having lots of trouble trying to catch it. Like the police have nothing better to do. That's what it portrays."

  • I didn't say they ARE dumb. I said they LOOK dumb chasing a kangaroo around. Well, I think that's what I meant. It was 9 months ago.

  • I don't get that stereotype at all, and I've lived in both the US and Australia. I was thinking how cool it was that they try to rescue the animal rather than shoot it. Where's "dumb" . . . or are you projecting?

  • lol insecure bitch could have got owned
