  • Thank you for your videos and for the close up shots you take! Those are so helpful when I think I am doing something wrong. The only problem I have is that my sampler scarf doesn't look as good as yours. There are ares that are wider than others and I can't seem to count my stitches correctly. Is there any advice you can provide so that I don't lose hope? I have unravelled and started over at least a dozen times, and my yarn is looking worse for the wear. Help please!

  • @McTeacher03 If you look closely, the longer stitches are a little wider. It just takes practice to get your numbers correct. I still have to count my stitches from time to time.

  • I also plan to learn how to knit. Do you knit/have tutorials on knitting? Also, do you have a preference over the two? If so, why? I know they are completely different. I'm just curious. I've heard that you have more options with knitting like creating slippers or socks, & sweaters. Is that true or can you crochet all that stuff?

  • @janeleiby I also knit. I do not have any knitting videos because I'm still learning more knitting techiniques. I prefer crochet for many reasons. First of all I've been crocheting since I was 11. I did not learn to knit until I was in my 20's. Second, crochet is faster. Third, when you knit if you make a mistake you have whole rows of loops to catch after frogging it out. With crochet, you only have one loop to catch. Fourth, crochet = one hook, knitting = 2 needles.

  • @janeleiby you can crochet anything that is knit...but you cannot knit everything that is crocheted. Knitting can be duplicated by machine...crochet cannot.

  • i learn a lot from your video!! u are a good teacher!

  • You are a wonderful & gracious teacher! The videos are incredibly easy to follow. I just started a few days ago, & I am almost done with my first scarf. I'm so excited to finish it, add my fringe, learn more, & move onto reading patterns for projects. I'm REALLY looking forward to learning the very elaborate/different types of stitches like puff, popcorn, the solomon stitch (or the lover's stitch).
