No Surprises
Radiohead
OK Computer

A heart thats full up like a landfill,
a job that slowly kills you,
bruises that wont heal.
You look so tired-unhappy,
bring down the government,
they dont, they dont speak for us.
Ill take a quiet life,
a handshake of carbon monoxide,

with no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
Silent silent.

This is my final fit,
my final bellyache,

with no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises please.

Such a pretty house
and such a pretty garden.

No alarms and no surprises (get me outta here),
no alarms and no surprises (get me outta here),
no alarms and no surprises, please.

  • @Angelblaze2007 cuz ya sick

  • As a man that tried to commit suicide, this is the only song that makes me cry. Cause when you try to kill yourself , you think you be in peace, no more suffering, but in reality you are in pain its slow. Each second as your heart slowly stops seems forever.

  • @Angelblaze2007 Mainly because that's what it's about.

  • Why do when I listen to this song I think 'happy suicide'?

  • @verifyyouare18or who are u to choose our opinion of which album we find better or not put some new eyes in ur head and look at it different dont make a competition between the albums of readiohead there all great why cant we all just have different opinions without people bragging about it just accept it :)

  • why do people get so obsessed with thumbs up? do we get money for it or something?

  • this song will always give me pleasant flashbacks of long, glistening grass wooshing past the bus window, all in this golden morning hue. i guess i was lucky w the visuals that day, but it truly was one of these moments you wish could last for a long time :]

  • @verifyyouare18or I guess it really is all up to personal taste. Both albums were truly great in their own rights, but I guess OK Computer's deal more in-depth with subjects like capitalism and the petty existence of people who pledge their allegiance to consumerism. Meanwhile, In Rainbow has probably more creativity on the music side and is more diverse texture wise.

  • thumbs up if you hear this in 2012
