Another Accident on Old Bridge Road: Woodbridge, VA

Lovely chunk of Old Bridge Road heading towards Woodbridge High School. You hit the brakes against the momentum of your vehicle while simulatneously trying to steer as the road dips down into a sharp turn and you hit the gas again. This part of the road is where I meet the dramatic slow down to The Killer's Somebody Told Me. A handful of people have been seriously injured and/or killed at this point in the road. It all comes down to watching vehicle spacing and speed.

Yes, I go to Woodbridge High, but I live about 3 miles away from where that happened. I remember that day, I was going toward Rt. 1 so, I wasn't impacted too much by this. I definitely saw the accident though. My family has a conversion van, and they're pretty high, and has soft suspension, so whenever we take that curve at 30 MPH, I feel like we'll tip over. I think they recently fixed the banking on that to make it a bit safer, if I'm not mistaken...

i go to garfield high and i keep hearing about the accident on this rode. its dangerous for the students cuz theyre new drivers. it s so sad wut happened to the teenagers who died here.

The new drivers are more likely to either take this turn too sharply and over-correct themselves, or brake too hard at the wrong spot. I've driven on this road many times going to Woodbridge High School, and I've made it there safely. I take this curve in stride as I do with the rest of the trip.
Drive safely, please, so you don't end up on my videos.

No, I went to Freedom, but I wish I went to Woodbridge for my senior year. I visit Woodbridge every now and then because a couple of my friends work there =)
