@littlelion1964 (1)Atheists, though wrong, are consistent in their analysis that leads them to condemn are religions. You are neither right nor consistent. Do you condemn Christianity for all the terrible crimes that it brought upon the Jews, or the genocide against Muslims in Bosnia, or the violence that lasted for many years between Christians in Ireland? I assume you do not condemn Christianly for that and you can provide some apologetics. That same principle applies to Islam.=>

@littlelion1964 , (2) Eruption of violence between religious group is usually caused by the ignorance of one group or both, not to mention many other economic and social reasons that can be added to the mix. Many a time the violence is fueled by outsiders who have ulterior motives for such violence to happen. Instead of getting your information from dubious sources, read some credible books on the topic. Read for example a Christianly a History by Bamber Gascoigne.

@littlelion1964, (1)Your ignorance is the biggest joke. History attests that forced conversions is far removed from Islam. And I declare a sinner any Muslim who forces any one to convert. A non Muslim writer says “ the kingdoms of Europe cared greatly about the religions of their subjects and fought destructive wars in order to coerce belief and stifle heresy …. the Ottoman state (Muslim) allowed =>

@littlelion1964 (2) Jews, (who by the way were persecuted by Christendom and conversion was forced upon them) Greek orthodox, Armenians, Catholics, Copts, and others to live in peace and security and practice their beliefs unmolested.” Also, if it was not for the protection of Islam, many Christian denomination would’ve been persecuted to extinction under official church. Read some credible history books before you make your malevolent comment.

@jonathanfater , (2) These writings which appeared more than 50 years after Jesus, contains some of the original injeel and contain the opinions and the perspectives of the authors; not to mention the drastic difference between the synoptic Gospels and that of John. The words of God that are not subject to change refers to his purposes and timeless principal not to the words that are authored by men such as the gospels writing.

@curatrix2008, I don’t have anything on “HONOR KILLING OR STONING OF RAPE VICTIMS” because they are not part of Islam. How could you be misled to the extent of believing that Islam punishes the victim? True Islam, not cultural practices of Taliban, actually liberated women of social operation.

@donbear1983 (1) Radicals can be identified through their worldviews and attitudes towards others. If you assume that most Muslims are not radicals rather they are interested in taking care of themselves and families, the task becomes easier. Some extremist Muslims, do in fact preach an extreme version of Islam, but what fringe elements believe and practice, though dangerous, is not mainstream. I do think that radical elements of Muslims and of other religions must be contained…

@donbear1983 (2) through education, exposure and through force(but this is the task of gov’t not individuals) when necessary. The world is tired of extremisms, violence and rapacious greed. Cooperation and goodwill among followers of various religions especially Islam, Christianly and Judaism will make the world a better place. Islam has a good history of cooperating with and protecting other faiths.
The Qur'an states that the Gospel of Jesus is from God, but the Gospel of Jesus totally contradicts almost the whole Qur'an O_o So I would rather dismiss Islam because the Qur'an told me that the Gospel of Jesus is from God. BTW to say the gospel has been corrupt is an argument already lost since the Qur'an says Allah words and decrees cannot be alterd. To say the Gospel of Jesus is corrupt is to accuse God of being a liar. My muslim friend, is your God a liar?

@jonathanfater 1)Jesus received words from God. Jesus is reported to say in John 17:7-8 “Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them.” These words are the Injeel referenced in the Quran . Quranic references to the Injeel described it as “in it guidance and light” (Quran 5:46). I believe in the Gospel— that is the words that God gave to Jesus, not necessarily every word in the Gospels of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John.
