I sent you a message explaining my problem, But, if the problem is the BIOS how do i set that up, shouldnt i get a GRUB menu? I press esc to go to the popup menu and and it has the external there, but when I select it the screen goes blank with a blinking underscore in the left hand corner of the screen...Any suggestions?

i followed your instructions to the T and everything went great until i restarted it went straight to my Windows OS, I restarted and it again went straight to the Windows OS. I went into the boot menu and there was just two selections 'boot from cd' or 'boot from HD' , no boot from usb...Any suggestions to make it work?
