@gbainjr I have considered joining, but I donl't think I would be old enough. Next year I'll have my license, and I would be able to head up there myself, during the off days from college.

would it be possible that the railroad would give regularly based speeder car rides east of the Boiceville bridge until funds are allocated for major repairs? I would love to take a speeder car ride.

I think the railroad would be afraid to take on the liability. The bridge is safe for track cars, but the track cars are really not all that safe. The speeders themselves offer little safety, and the gang car offers no passenger protection to keep you from falling out. If you wish to experience this ride for yourself, you could join the CMRR as a volunteer and head out there with a crew to do some much-needed brush cutting, track work, or washout repairs! We're out every weekend. ;)
