    Like she said on the video, it's an art that takes practice. Keep trying, you'll get it!

    The chain stitch starts with a slipknot (think hangman noose). Yarn over means to lay the thread over the hook. To finish, catch the yarn under the hook before pulling through your "noose". Repeat that step (exactly like the last) until you have the amount of chains that you need.

    It will look messy at first. Keep practicing until all chains look the same, then continue to the next row. Good luck!

    Learning how to crochet takes practice. I know, it sure did with me when I first started to learn how. (: Maybe try rewinding or pausing the video? Maybe it might help?
