Wow, look how FLAT Kansas is!!!

Between Garden City and Scott City Kansas. Nothing against Kansas, we had a great time in Garden City, but as a snowboarder from Colorado, the flatness was amazing to me.

Nothing to me beats watching a thunderhead grow in the distance and watch it come on.

Land of the Big Sky. And at night a star gazer dream. Eternity is visible here day or night. at my place I can see to the horizon and nothing in between. And the best Sunsets everyday! its a place striped down to the basic geometric shapes. Roads that disappear in the vanishing point. It forces a distance gaze and a different way at looking at time and space. its all here but many look but cannot see.

SHut up! Kansas is a beautiful land and it might be flatter than most states, but it's not flat.

@brickell4brickell4 yes it is generally windy in Kansas. Usually more in western Kansas than eastern. Taking a step back and looking at it, 35-40 mph wind is really a breeze to this native. Last year in Febuary we missed 1 1/2 days of school to 70+ mph winds mainly because powerlines were touching and signs and stoplights were being turned by the wind.

i live in gc i hate how these ppl bash it its been my home all my life i used to hate gc till i moved away and realized how much i miss my friends in that city, ya its not the pertest place but its not that bad really, but ya east kansas is way nicer in west more hils and trees...greener too
