Welp, here's why I dragged Nevan around. =/

Swordmaster
Nevan/Beowulf
E&I/Shotgun

Catching the right lung with a Real Impact is cake, but the left lung likes to push you away, as it's throbbing, wasting a horrible amount of time and leaving you open for attacks. If I had shoved a lump of coal up my butt for every missed Real Impact moments, I'd have a crazy collection of dinosaurs. And no, you're not suppose to understand.

Anywho, once you're able to connect a Real Impact, Air Slash/The Hammer switching rips the lungs up apart. The only real difference in how you're suppose to approach these lungs is that when you're high enough on the right lung, you can "catch" yourself on it, erasing the jump animation and giving you a free Air Hike for each catch. The left lung doesn't have that benefit, so when bashing it, keep that extra Air Hike available for escape. Air Slash and The Hammering isn't going to keep you airborne forever.

I haven't reviewed the footage, so I can't tell you how many orbs the left lung drops, but make sure you've cleared the 8500 orb mark. I reckon it will require 2 or 3 orb drops to cover it, but I still can't say.

Be careful when escaping from the left lung. Even though the Envies are below you, they'll slash around and about. If you're unlucky to have an automatic aim at a grounded, slashing Envy...try enemy rebounding with a Killer Bee. Easier said than done, with the camera angle, though.

Also worth noting, the left lung absorbs any orbs that are dropped and even benefit from the green orbs' healing.

The right lung drains your DT, though I'm unaware if it uses that DT for any application.

When the heart core is exposed, Air Hike up to the top and Air Slash/The Hammer cancel it. It's pretty awesome. By the time the heart core covers up, you'll have hit it, which will reset the the Air Hike count, giving you an extra one to use to escape the swinging Envies.

Mission 9 is one of my favorites. Until then, enjoy.

  • @NarutoBestFTW Can't tell if stupid or trolling. See, in DMC3, you get to replay missions with all of your stuff, and the only way to unlock the other difficulties is to beat one difficulty. So yes, he's going to start out on DMD with maximum health, DT, and all skills because he already unlocked them in previous difficulties.
