  • hey my congratulatns !! very clean playing and tecnique .... your drum kit sounds very gooood !! what kind of kit are you using (drums, snares, drumheads) in this video ? thanks !! let me know ...

  • @cjorata

The kit is a Premier Artist Maple in Rosewood finish. Sizes are 13,16,18,24. Standard Premier Everplay coated heads (same as Remo Ambassadors) Cymbals are all Paiste. 2002 sound edge hi hats, 18" and 20" crashes and a 24" Giant Beat ride. I think I was using a Ludwig 400 snare in this clip with coated Ambassador head.

  • I try everyday to do the "Toe to Heel" technique, but my pedal is smaller than my foot and my nail scratches against the chain which hurts like hell, (and i cant ware shoes while drumming) John Bonham is my inspiration, and the reason why i drum, so i really want to be able to drum just like him..

    ANY IDEAS??

  • @stinkbuttstjean

I don't actually use the hell and toe method myself, I use more of a swivel type thing (my foot slides from right to left on the pedal when I'm playing fast doubles) but I think Bonzo used Heel + Toe. Check out Tim Waterson and JoJo Mayor heel toe lessons. You don't need small feet or huge pedals to do it, but I'm not an expert on it by any means so you would be better looking elsewhere for more info on this technique! Good luck with it.

  • If yo don't mind me asking, why do you have your ride so far away from you? It seems like you have to reach as far as you possibly can to hit the bell...

  • @tttooommm123

Well, it's a 24" ride (Paiste Giant Beat) and if I move it a little closer so I can reach the bell more easily, then the edge of the cymbal will get in the way when I'm going round the toms!

  • @Phrase bonzo actually played heal up

  • I've been playing the guitar for thirty odd years, I've even played at Glastonbury fest but I always wanted to play the drums, Now I know why I drum myself (on the clavical's) thumb and fingers rollin' like a good times, Bad times feel, slapin' anything at the same time! Nice Roll, Nice One!

  • Very cool, I've been working on this one for a couple weeks now.

Why to you sometimes switch to 16'ths on the bell?

  • All my idiot drumming friends try to talk about the greatest drummer of all time, and I always point to Bonham with this one, and their response......"yeah but he used a double pedal".......and then I just leave the room.

  • nice, the only thing wrong with this lesson, is that he ends each groove with the rack toms, not 2 hits on the snare

  • @stinkbuttstjean mine is smaller, this is what i do, i put my heel on the bass, and point my toes up, u literally arent suppose to hit the pedal with your heel, when i do heel toe, its more like ball of foot, toe

  • What is your left hand doing on the snare in the rolls at the very end? 6.24 and 6.32..ish......is it triples?

  • Beautiful, really beautiful. 'We've done four all ready..' Would like that to be the next lesson!
