After being labelled by the media, they called their music genre 'PunkPop' In an interview Gerard Way actually stated he thought emo is a 'A Pile of shit' And Mcr are only labelled as emo because what the media is saying about them. Like when The Daily Mail called them a death cult and That they 'Glamourize suicide' Which is totally untrue, Note 'I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone.'
