I like Quebec. But Quebec would not survive as a sovereign nation. Plain and simple. It's part of Canada. Count your blessings and get over yourself.

A nation have the right to protect itself and that include to protect it's language. If russia invade us would you simply start to speak russian? ho, and befor you say i'm a cocksucker... I speak english... shesh...
And by the way I think that's those kind of hate powered message that fuel the separatist movement. Make quebec feel like they were on an other planette than the ROC'

Everybody knows that a nation can survive for a while without a define country but for its durable existence, it needs the protection giving by the sovreignety of the territory where its population lives. Why are Canadians so sensitive about the status of Québec in Canada even thought they wont be directly touch by independence? It's like if they were thinking that we hate them while we just want to decide for our self. I like my neibourg but I want to choose the colors inside in my house.

We're not all Canadians. I'm a Quebecers because I don't feel the bond that is justly unifying all the other provinces. In Québec, most of the people and all the deputies of the well named Assemblée nationale, are recognizing the nation of Québec. Now, an average of 60% of its population would like to stay within the federation. Therefore, the debate is no longer if we're or not a nation but if we wants to be Canadian in addition of our previous nationality.

@blackjack502 You do realize a much larger % of quebecers speak english compared to the population in the rest of Canada speak french? Of course you don't, because you already have a personal hate towards Quebec in which i ask myself why i even pointed out one of many flaws with your statement.

Great comedy, in Glen's hands, truth is funnier than fiction.
I have no idea wtf you're talking about. I've been living in Montreal for 7 years and the only bigotry and hate i ever see comes from the internet from obvious old fart bigots that have failed to evolve along with society. The only anglophones bitching in Quebec are the ones that won't bother to learn French.
All you haters need to seriously wake the fuck up. It's the 21rst century, most of the world understands now that bigotry and racism leads no where. It's time you followed.

Come on people. We, Canadians, can handle the jokes. Look at NFLD, the brunt of many Canadian jokes, but they can handle it, even laugh along. From the comments here, we have only taken something funny to start arguing about something that was over like a decade ago. Lighten up. From the coasts of NFLD to BC; WE ARE ALL CANADIANS. Laugh a little. I am proud to be Canadian, and proud of our French / English heritage. (i agree wiht jimmyphack) similar educational situation. ;-)
