@MrStarflakes - Oh cool... thanks... I think I'm getting in the mood to hear some Floyd right now : )
(...as if I'm ever not in the mood to hear Floyd)

@dreamwad1 You're right. You can hear "We'll meet again" at the beginning of the live version of the Wall from "Is there anybody out there".
-
@MrStarflakes - Thank you, - I know they used this Vera Lynn song (Santa Forgot) in the opening of The Wall movie but I was just noting that the song "Vera" is actually about the other Vera Lynn song "We'll meet again." - I think they may have used"we'll meet again" at the opening of the original Wall performances but I'm not 100% on that...
-
@dreamwad1 I think they are referring to the movie where this song is the opening tune before it's goes into In the Flesh.

@evilexluv It's FLOYD. Hehe.

Vera is still living age 92 and the re-release of her music has spun some to the top of the charts in Great Britain for the families and friends of those serving in Afghanistan Amazing how songs appealing to the heart sung with emotion by a great talent can appeal to any generation. Perhaps this one should be re-released for the children of those serving in Afghanistan now. British, American, Canadian and others, who would like to have Daddies and/or Mommies (NOW) home for Christmas

@evilexluv - Good catch but, the song on The Wall, "Vera" actually refers to another Vera Lynn song called "We'll meet again." - That's the one where she actually says "we'll meet again some sunny day." Check it out... I love the way Rog & the band used these Vera Lynn songs on The Wall...
this is the beginning song on the movie The Wall by Pink Floyed. this makes the song Vera make alot more sence now

My father went overseas Oct 39, Canadian First Div, Hastings Prince Edward. Born in Jan 40 I never saw him until shortly before my sixth birthday. As a tenor from his father's church choir he sang to 9 siblings and myself during childhood. Vera Lynn songs were his favorite. This song lost to me for half a century and recently returned by Google is especially poignant for Vera's voice brings childhood memories of songs sung by a Dad who's war injuries resulted in his early death at age 47.
